Mary, Star of the Sea, light of every ocean,
guide seafarers across all dark and stormy seas
that they may reach the haven of peace and light
prepared in Him who calmed the sea.
As we set forth upon the oceans of the world
and cross the deserts of our time, show us, O Mary,
the fruit of your womb, for without your Son we are lost.
Pray that we will never fail on life’s journey,
that in heart and mind, work and deed,
in days of turmoil and in days of calm,
we will always look to Christ and say,
“Who is this that even wind and sea obey him?”
Our Lady of Peace, pray for us!
Bright Star of the Sea, guide us!
Our Lady, Star of the Sea, pray for seafarers, pray for us.

Almighty and merciful Father, who show your love to all your creation.
Humbly we come before you asking for a swift eradication of the coronavirus
Graciously hear the prayers we offer for all those affected by the virus currently
ravaging various parts of the world.
Calm our fears and give strength to those who support and care for others.
Grant healing to all suffering in mind, body and spirit, eternal life to the dead
and consolation to the bereaved.
Inspire those who are working to find an effective vaccine.
Counsel governments and health authorities to take appropriate steps
for the good of all.
Look lovingly upon us all, and in your mercy, forgive our failings.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

My Jesus,
I believe that you are present in this Holy Sacrament of the altar.
I love you above all things
and I passionately desire to receive you into my soul.
Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally,
come spiritually into my soul
so that I may unite myself wholly to you now and forever. Amen.
Lord Jesus, you came that we might have life in all its fullness.
In this time of sickness and the fear of sickness,
give me the health of mind – that I might seek out wise guidance and act upon it;
the health of body – that will enable me to serve you and those around me;
the health of spirit – that my soul rests in the secure knowledge
that there is nothing that can separate me from the Father’s love.
Give me the grace to share your peace – that peace the world cannot give.
Lord God, you created our world and its peoples.
Today, we hold before you the people of (name of country)
affected by the coronavirus.
In your goodness, give courage and healing to those who are sick;
and sustain the doctors and nurses who work to care for them.
Give wisdom to those in authority, that in all their decisions,
the dignity and well-being of citizens affected by this virus,
may be of paramount concern.
Merciful God, come to the help of your people.
Be our shelter in this time of peril
and strengthen the bonds of our community.
Bring healing to all who suffer the ravages of disease
and assist those whose skill and art can put an end to this affliction.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
O God, our refuge and our shield,
even when we walk in the shadow of death you are there at our side.
Be with your people in this time of danger:
bring strength to the afflicted
and protection to those untouched by disease.
Give us love and courage, that we may trust in your power to save
and reach out to all who need our care.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Prayer for the Dead
Eternal rest, grant unto them O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.
May + they rest in peace. Amen.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I give you my heart and my soul.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, assist me in my last agony.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, may I breathe forth my soul in peace with you. Amen
Into your hands, O Lord, I commend my spirit.
Lord Jesus, receive my soul.
O Sacred Heart of Jesus I implore
the grace to love you daily more and more (said three times).
